Motorists, cyclists and other road users are being advised that part of the B4318 Sageston to Tenby road will be closed to all traffic on Sunday, February 19. The section between the junction with the Sageston roundabout and the junction with the class III road to St. Florence will be closed between 8 am and 5 pm. The temporary road closure is to allow work to take place to overhead power cables in the area. "The work will involve pulling overhead power cables between pylons located either side of the road," said Clr. Brian Hall, cabinet member for transportation and environment. "It is essential to close the road to ensure the safety of drivers and anyone else wishing to travel along the road." A further section of road in South Pembrokeshire will be closed on Sunday, March 5. The A478 road between Begelly (north of Windberry Top) and Templeton will be closed between 8 am and 5 pm. Again, the closure is to allow work to overhead power cables. In both instances, diversions will be in place. The closure dates are dependent on the weather conditions and should the wind speed be too high, it will be necessary to postpone the closure until the following Sunday.
