Two teams from Templeton School recently travelled to Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest, to play in the first round of the 'Activate' Welsh Primary Schools Hockey Competition. Teams from Narberth, Brynconin and Redhill schools joined them in an afternoon of hockey organised by Joanne Roberts (Dragon Sports co-ordinator) and her team of helpers. Seven teams competed on the day for the two places in the zone final to be held in Carmarthen next month. Templeton 'A' won all their games and progress to the zone final as winners, along with Brynconin 'A' as runners-up. Templeton's second team, comprising of pupils mainly from Years Three and Four, are to be commended for their efforts as they were playing against pupils two years older than themselves and they show great promise for the future. Many thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped to transport the children to Haverfordwest and for supporting them throughout a very busy afternoon.
