At the recent monthly meeting of Templeton Community Council, held in the Chapel Hall, members heard that an approach had been made regarding their intentions for the former football field and whether they intended to sell it. It was agreed to contact their solicitors as the field was still registered with the trustees of the former football club. Other correspondence read to councillors included letters relating to a Narberth and District sports seminar; a Citizens Advice Bureau meeting; and a South Area Liaison meeting. Finance: The clerk's wages of £534.50 were presented and members agreed that these should be paid. Planning: Erection of one dwelling (outline) - 12 Sentence Gardens, Templeton (refused by Pembrokeshire County Council). Any other business: A letter was read from Clr. L. Belt informing the council that due to his heavy workload he could no longer give his commitment to the council; therefore, he was stepping down as a community councillor. The other councillors expressed their sadness, but wished Clr. Belt all the best in the future. Clr. Priest informed the clerk that in last month's press release it seemed that the community council had objected to the plan put forward by Hampton Court Caravan Park. The clerk apologised for this mistake, as this was the county council's objection not theirs. The council asked if the clerk had heard when the orange bags would be distributed to Templeton. She said that she would chase up the matter. Clr. Jones asked if a memorial clock could be purchased for Mr. D. Evans, as he had been the clerk to Templeton Community Council for over 30 years. The council agreed with this and Clr. Jones said she would look into purchasing something appropriate.
