Eight members were present at the April meeting of Templeton Community Council, held in the Church Hall. A concerned resident was also present to voice concern about the proposed development at Crossvilla, Templeton. It was agreed to forward the resident's letter to the planning department at Pembrokeshire County Council along with the council's own views. There were no matters arising from the minutes. A number of items were received for general reading, while correspondence was read to the councillors from PIPPA - New Directory; and One Voice Wales - Ombudsman and Shared Responsibility.

PLANNING

There were no objections to the following planning applications: Overhead lines - Grove Gate Farm, Molleston; Erection of one dwelling - Parkhouse, Chapel Lane, Templeton. Refual was recommended, however, on an application for a clubhouse, tarmac race track etc., at Hampton Court Caravan Park, Templeton.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

It was agreed to get an independent expert to assess the damage caused by the damp to the pine end of the church hall with a view to carrying out repairs. Concerns were raised among the councillors about the condition of the bus shelter/toilet block at the bottom of the village once again! Members were told that police had been called to an incident recently where vandalism was taking place, but they failed to turn up or take any action. It was agreed to write to the police expressing the council's disappointment. The date of the next meeting, which will be the AGM, was set for May 17 at 8 pm.
