A meeting of the Community Council of Templeton was held in the Church Hall recently and among matters discussed were the following:
MATTERS ARISING
Following council's request to improve the roads, it was asked by members if this was going ahead as the council had been in the village marking surfaces etc. Clr. P. Williams told the meeting that this work had started, but it would not be completed as funds had run out. The clerk then informed the meeting that Clr. Davies had rung her to say that someone from highways was meeting him in the village to discuss our requests. Clr. P. Williams agreed to also attend this meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE
Letters were received from two residents expressing a wish to fill the two vacant seats on the community council. Mr. John Logan from Woods Cross and Mr. John Phillips from Molleston. All members agreed that these would be excellent additions to our council. The clerk will write confirming their acceptance. A letter was received from Jones & Jones asking the council for evidence of the change of name from Narberth South Community Council to Templeton Community Council. These records had been sent to storage, so the clerk would have to contact them to retrieve this information. Notification was received of the temporary road closure of the Class 111 (C3027) road West of Templeton Airfield A letter was read from Templeton CP School asking if any member of the council wished to become a school governor, as there is a vacant seat. At present no councillors could commit to the post.

First floor dormers - Chatsworth, Cold Blow (no objections). Residential dwelling - Chapel Hill Farm, Templeton (no objections) Renewal of application - Holly Blue House, Cold Blow (no objections). Two dwellings - Brynteg Cottages, Templeton (no objections).
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Mrs. J. Bird, of Larkspur Close, had approached Clr. P. Williams about children climbing through a gap in the hedge on the village green into Larkspur Close. She said that the residents of the close were fed up with this and asked the council to fill in this gap. Members agreed to inspect the hedge and take action from there. Mrs. P. Davies commented about the severe drop off the highway in Tanners Lane. A near miss had occurred on the road between her and a lorry. Clr. P. Williams agreed to include this when he met with Clr. Davies and the highways. The clerk was requested to follow up correspondence regarding the toilet block and the anti-social behaviour. It was suggested she also write to the police regarding this problem area. The clerk was asked if she could locate the maps provided when council were informed about the moving of the 30-mile signs as some members were unsure of the intended location of these signs. Clr. J. Jones also asked if PCC could remove the old poles from the old 30 signs. Concerns were raised about the slow response and sometimes complete lack of replies from Pembrokeshire Council Council. It was proposed we write to our local MP, Mr. N. Ainger, on this subject. The date of the next meeting was set for Thursday, October 21, in the Church Hall at 8 pm.
