Members of Templeton Community Association were among those who attended the October meeting of Templeton Community Council.

The first topic of the meeting was the condition of the village green hedge. The association enquired whether it was possible to remove the hedge and replace it with fencing. The community council were unsure if removal was possible and would seek advice. In the event of the hedge being removed, it was suggested to look into the grants procedure (via Pembrokeshire County Council) for funding.

The association also asked if it was possible to have Christmas lights in the village this year. They would find out the cost and also if any insurance was needed. Mr. E. Morse suggested that the council give a donation towards the lights. This was seconded by Mrs. J Jones and all councillors were in favour.

The state of the play area was discussed and the council assured the association that this matter was ongoing with the county council.

A letter was read from Planed regarding their 'Plugging the Leaks' workshops. Mrs. J. Jones said that she would attend this meeting.

Confirmation was received from Clr. Stock that he would be attending their next meeting and would the council supply questions to him.

It was suggested once again for the clerk to approach Dyfed Powys Police to attend one of their future meetings.

Mr. D. Belt asked if they could write to the county council requesting suitable lighting outside the toilet block/bus shelter at the bottom of the village.

There were no objections to the following planning applications: conversion of outbuildings to holiday accommodation - Roadside Farm, Templeton; extension to bungalow - 1 Picton Close, Templeton; bungalow and garage - Fell House, Templeton.

The date of the next meeting was set for November 20 at the Church Hall at 8 pm.
