Templeton AFC began their first season on their new playing field with mixed fortunes. As the season progressed, however, the squad settled down and won more games.

At the close of the season Templeton AFC were comfortably placed in the league table.

The club's end-of-season awards were: Player's player - David Durbin; manager's player - Morgan Preece; top scorer - Morgan Preece.

During the past season, the club has been actively supported by all sections of the Templeton community. This has been greatly appreciated by the club's officials who express their thanks to everyone who has helped in any way at all.

Special thanks are offered to Geordie Fraser (club chairman) and his wife, Myfanwy, for their unstinting generosity and hospitality. The Boar's Head is now effectively Templeton AFC's clubhouse.

Templeton AFC also appreciate the wide-ranging input of Mary Francis, and the youthful energies of Tommy, team manager.

Templeton AFC are busy fund-raising to get their new changing rooms built. The next event is on Sunday, June 24, on Templeton Village Green, which will be a Strawberry Tea, plus Whitland Male Voice Choir, starting at 4 pm. Tickets are £5 and provision has been made for wet weather.

The club is now actively seeking interest from Under 10s and Under 12s to see if they can establish a team/teams for the coming season.

Please inform committee members and other officials as soon as possible.
