Year 12 student Tegan Foley starred in last week’s Doctor Who episode, Thin Ice. Saturday saw Tegan debut as a hand double for one of the main characters that falls through the frozen River Thames. The scene involved Tegan holding the infamous sonic screwdriver above the ice.

The filming took place last autumn, with Tegan spending the day at the BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff. During her time there, she met the Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi, as well as gaining an insight into the behind the scene workings of the series.

Tegan really enjoyed being part of the programme and hopes to be involved with it again soon.
