Four local teenagers, aged between 12 and 15, were rescued on Monday after getting cut off by the tide.
The quartet had got into difficulties between Waterwynch Bay and First Point during the late afternoon.
One of party attempted to make his way around the cliff to call for help and was spotted by lifeboat mechanic, Stephen Lowe, who raised the alarm.
The inshore lifeboat was subsequently launched and went to the aid of the youth, who then directed the crew to the other three stranded teenagers.
All four were then brought ashore and landed safely at the North Beach.
