Pembrokeshire branch of teachers' union, NASUWT, sponsored Donna and Kevin Longhurst in their London Marathon run this year in aid of Sandy Bears, the organisation which works with Pembrokeshire children of families facing bereavement and staff in schools who are supporting them. The £250 cheque was presented to Mrs. Longhurst by Mrs. Glinys Meredydd, the NASUWT local secretary, and Mr. Charlie Meredydd, past president. The Longhursts' run raised a total of £25,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Sandy Bears.
