MARIE Curie Cancer Care would love to be able to spread the word about the work the charity does in West Wales. Do you belong to a group or organisation? Do you have regular speakers? Would you like to hear about Marie Curie Cancer Care - the charity and the work that they do, how the charity started and how they raise funds for the nursing service in your area. The Marie Curie Cancer Care nursing service costs £20 per hour and a Marie Curie nurse spends up to eight or nine hours with a patient at one time, meaning the family can have some time to switch off, grab some sleep or just do normal things with the children and other family members. Community fund-raising co-ordinator for Marie Curie Cancer Care in West Wales, Rachel Thomas, said: "We do not charge for speaking at a meeting, we just welcome the opportunity to talk about Marie Curie Cancer Care and hopefully spread the word about a service that is available to every cancer patient free of charge."
