On Friday, October 27, Mick Brown (pictured) will be giving a talk at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.

The talk is entitled St. Margaret’s Island: The History and Natural History of Caldey’s Little Sister and will detail the fascinating story behind the often overlooked island.

Mick is well-known around Tenby. For the past 18 years, he has spent time on small expedition ships in the Arctic and Antarctica as a wildlife guide and photographer. For over 40 years, he has been associated with the Pembrokeshire islands and has worked as a guide with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park spending time on the island nature reserves of Skomer, Skokholm, Ramsey, Grassholm and St. Margarets. Back home in Tenby, he enjoys every aspect of Pembrokeshire’s wildlife and wild places and says: “Wherever there is a penguin or a puffin, a polar bear or a badger to be found, then I am equally at home.”

The talk starts at 7 pm. Booking is essential for this event and tickets are priced at £5 (£4 with a Friends of Tenby Museum membership card).
