The Saturday stableford on March 13 heralded the Return of the King, as the Lord of the Twos, George King, holed out for eagle two from long distance at the 14th on his way to a fine score of 40 points. This was matched by Tom Burkat and Gilroy Thomas, who finished second and third, respectively, but George's five-point haul on the 14th was crucial in giving him the better back nine, and a well deserved win, on countback. Gilroy had the consolation of making the only other two of the day.

As the winter/spring league enters its final week, Richard Davies has fired in scores of 38, 42 and 41 to dislodge Meurig Evans at the top of the Tiger division. Richard has 314, Meurig 302, and both have two opportunities to improve their best eight score. Joint third, on 287, are Gerald John and Roger Cryer, while Rob Evans is fifth on 286.

For the third successive week there is a new leader in the Rabbits division, with cards of 37 and 40 taking Gary Heesom to 291 with two to play. Peter Scourfield and John Bancroft are second and third with 282 and 278, respectively, but pose no threat to the leader as they have completed their programmes. Gary may yet be challenged by one or other of the Zeraschi brothers who are engaged in a family duel. Angelo is fourth with 277 (three to play) and Jack fifth with 276 (two to play).

There was no midweek game on March 16, and the Seniors on March 18 was disrupted by heavy rain, with many contenders walking in before the end. That left the durable Roger Cryer in front with 34, and Roger Thompson second with 32.

Trefloyne Seniors start the new season next week. Last year's captain, Ivan Kirk, has taken up the gauntlet once again and will be ably assisted by vice-captain, Walter Witts. They start with a visit to Milford Haven next Thursday, April 1.

Trefloyne's Dyfed League team have drawn Cardigan (away) in the first round of the knockout cup. The date has yet to be arranged. Coincidently, the teams meet, also at Cardigan, in Trefloyne's opening league fixture of the new season, on Saturday, April 24.
