It has been an unhappy start to the New Year at Trefloyne. Members were saddened to hear that the club's vice-captain, Neil Thomas, passed away on Thursday, January 9, after a short illness.
Neil was the keenest of golfers and was often to be seen on the course with his son, Adam, who is the Trefloyne Junior captain. Neil had many friends at Trefloyne, and will be greatly missed at the club.
The members and staff at Trefloyne Golf Club extend their condolences to Linda, Adam, Aimee and Charlotte at this very sad time.
A short memorial service, attended by the family and many friends, was conducted on the golf course prior to Neil's cremation at Parc Gwyn on Wednesday, January 15.
