Tenby and Manorbier Coastguard Rescue Teams were called to assist a 48-year-old woman with a possible broken leg who had fallen in the area of Penally range on Saturday.

Coastguards administered first aid and transferred the woman to a land ambulance for transfer to hospital following the incident shortly before 6.30 pm.

Said a coastguard spokesman: "The lady was from Pontnewydd, Pontypridd. She had been walking in flip flops when she slipped on wet grass causing a fracture to her leg. The incident occurred very close to the cliff edge and she was lucky not to have fallen over."
