The 47th Tenby Round Table Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner recently took place at the De Valence in Tenby. The event is a longstanding tradition and provides senior residents of Tenby with the opportunity to have an evening out with friends old and new. The entire event is paid for by the work that the voluntary members of Tenby Round Table do in the community from fundraising events such as the two Summer Spectaculars held each year.

The night was opened by local Round Table member Nick Joseph, who welcomed everyone, including Mayor, Clr. Trevor Hallett, who also said a few words.

Prior to an excellent meal served by Lorna Greasly and her hard-working team, Tenby Round Table chairman, David Douglas Law, said Grace. During the Christmas meal, Round Table members were on hand to serve all the guests with drinks and make all guests feel welcome.

Once the meal and dessert plates had been cleared, Nick Joseph hosted a superb raffle, including prizes such as fine wines and chocolates, before introducing the entertainment for the evening. Members of the St. Mary's Church choir kindly gave up their time to sing carols to an appreciative audience, before Nick introduced Tenby's most famous stage double act of Laurie Dale and Pauline Allen, who yet again provided an excellent array of music and comedy, for which everyone was truly grateful.

Laurie was joined on stage by Rhian Morgan for more performances, before Laurie guided the Table team through their traditional finalé song of Strolling to end the evening.
