The Rotary Club of Tenby were delighted that Tenby department store T. P. Hughes was one of the local companies that came forward to sponsor a month in their new 2015 Tenby charity calendar. The well known local store sponsored the month of October in the calendar, which features a stunning panoramic image of Tenby Harbour by Amanda of Lollies Sweet Shop, Tenby; a staff photo from T. P. Hughes' 1953 staff party, and a photo kindly donated by Gareth Davies photography of the staff celebrating the firm's centenary. The charity calendar, in aid of the HOPE Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, Neyland, and other Rotary charities, has received an excellent response and very encouraging early sales. It is now available for sale in a number of local shops, including at the furniture desk of T. P. Hughes. The Rotary Club have also listed the calendar for sale worldwide on E Bay (with free p &p in the UK), and were delighted to receive their first order at the weekend from a customer in North Wales. Due to the E Bay for Charity rules, all their normal listing/selling fees are cancelled, which means all the money paid goes to the charity. As the Rotary Club of Tenby is now a listed charity on E Bay, anyone can sell their goods and give from 10 per cent to 100 per cent of their proceeds to Tenby Rotary Club. Sellers then receive a pro-rata discount on their E Bay fees. For example if you donate 50 per cent of the proceeds, you receive a 50 per cent discount in your fees. Newly-elected president Nigel Ayers of Tenby Rotary Club said that the club is extremely grateful to everyone for their support with the Tenby 2015 charity calendar.
