Sir,

I read with interest a letter from an Elaine Litherland in the Observer dated April 13. I would like to support her views regarding a name change or reversion to the old name of 'The White Hart' for the Albion Hotel. This is a name which has always been synonymous with Tenby from my point of view.

I grew up with the hotel being called that and, what is more important, my grandfather Alun Jones managed it in the early 1900s and my mother, Olwen Dickinson (nee Jones), was born there in 1916.

Yes, Elaine, it would be great if the name was changed back. It is the first sign you see as you arrive in Tenby, 'The White Hart', what a symbol.
