Fundraising: Mydy Rabycad-SwimNarberth Fundraiser: Queen’s Hall on July 9 at 8 pm. A charity event to raise money for the much-loved Narberth Swimming Pool. Mydy Rabycad are a sensational live electro swing band who are flying in all the way from Prague to give you guys a chance to dance your socks off well into the night. With a whole host of great acts scheduled to play, this is sure to be a night you won’t forget. Also DJ Rob Why?

With all the proceeds going to the charity, you have no excuse not to join us for an evening of great music and good times. There will even be BBQ outside on the night, so you won’t have to stray too far from the action! Doors open 8 pm ’til late; £12.50 on the door, £10 in advance (+50p booking fee); tickets available via Span Arts and the Queen’s Hall - soon! Organised by Toby Newham.

Body Shop Party: Body Shop Party at Sally’s House on Saturday, June 25. Time to be confirmed. 17 Redstone Court, Narberth.

News Splash: Congratulations to Jake Workman, Kyle Scourfield, Rich Beere, Eva Jenkins, Aline Myers, Simon Stevens, Louis Morgan, who all passed their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification on Saturday, April 9. Well done to you all.

Disabled sessions: Starting Friday, May 13. The sessions will run 3.30 - 4 pm; 4 - 4.30 pm, 4.30 - 5 pm and 5 - 5.30 pm; grant funded initially, so free. With a specialist swim teacher and physiotherpist.

You will be asked to register at your first session and we will ask for as much information as possible to tailor your sessions. Assessments will be done during the first couple of sessions to develop a plan for each person.

Ages three-and-a-half to 17 years initially, but we are hoping to develop the club to include adults in the future. We’ll see how it goes.

It is family inclusive, so siblings can join in the sessions too.

It is inclusive for all disabilities - autism to spina bifida.

Each swimmer will need a parent/carer to stay with them for the session and to offer any assistance they might need before and after.

We are asking all that come to be patient with us, as we develop the sessions and we are open to ideas to create a great session for all.

To make enquiries or register your interest, please contact Jennifer Price direct on FB or via her mobile 07975724115.

Junior Canoe Club: Sessions are 1 to 3 pm every other Saturday. Available to any child over four years who can swim one width of the pool. Lessons are with a trained level three coach. For more information, contact Mel on 07973674015 or Jim on 07729514870.

Volunteering and fundraising: It’s that time of year again when we ask our amazing supporters if they would like to be a part of our volunteering team for local events in 2016.

We require volunteers for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 7, 8 , 9 and 10, for the Long Course Weekend in Tenby and July 23 for the Ocean Lava Wales Triathlon in Fishguard, then leading onto Ironman Wales in September.

If you would like to volunteer for any 2016 events, please let us know which days and times you would be available, along with your phone number and email.

Don’t forget, for groups of 10 people or more, we can receive £200 back to SwimNarberth.

Stop press news: The grant Sue Rees applied for to build the extension, is through to the next stage of the WAG Welsh Rural Communities - Rural Development Program. So keep your fingers crossed, a lot of work to do now though!
