CONGRATULATIONS to Joann Randles, of Vineyard Vale, Valley Road, Saundersfoot, who has recently qualified to represent Welsh Colleges in the 100m backstroke swimming event. Joann, a student at Coleg Sir Gar, Llanelli, where she is studying A Levels, qualified for the event at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, against competition from all over Wales, as part of the British Colleges Championships. A competitive sports person and swimmer, Joann, who regularly takes part in competitions for her local clubs, Tenby Dolphins and Pembrokeshire Aces, will shortly be taking part in the next round of the event at Loughborough University.
