Local lifesavers benefited from funds raised by its junior members who participated in a sponsored swim last week at Tenby Leisure Centre. The event was organised by Emmet and Sally Johnson, during which 20 children completed an impressive combined distance of 43 miles in approximately two hours.
Head of Lifesaving, Angelo Fecci, said: "We are grateful to everybody who sponsored swimmers. These funds will be used to purchase new surf rescue equipment to help our volunteers continue to provide high standards of service, be it in our youth education, community patrols or event safety."
The Surflink Club located at South Beach, Tenby, offers a variety of facilities from windsurfing to rowing.
