Emergency rescue teams went to the aid of swimmers in difficulty off Wiseman's Bridge on Wednesday evening.

Tenby's inshore lifeboat was launched shortly before 6 pm after the mother of two children 'phoned the coastguard to report that the children were in trouble.

As the ILB arrived on scene, the children had luckily managed to get ashore safely.

The ILB crew made sure they needed no first aid attention and returned to station.
