The rain held off for this match at the Clicketts. The ground was heavy going, with lots of water in places. This made for a game of many handling errors which Tenby tried to overcome, but with Haverfordwest having the bigger forwards and more direct running from their backs, they controlled the ball for much of the game and ran out comfortable winners by seven tries to three.

Haverfordwest scored first with a try after their forwards put pressure on Tenby's line.

Tenby responded well, with Rob Fairlie breaking away from a tackle and feeding Alex, who passed to Daniel and then out to Loui, who scored in the corner.

Haverfordwest scored straight from the kick-off, with Tenby failing to make any telling tackles.

Again the home team responded well and levelled the score with a try from the elusive Rob Fairlie, who was set on his way following some sterling work from Michael Wright.

The game seemed to be evenly matched with the score at two tries each, but with Haverfordwest making better use of the conditions, they ran in three more tries before half-time.

With the score five-two at the break, it meant Tenby had a lot to do in the second half if they were to pull the game around.

This was not to be, though. Haverfordwest controlled most of the second half and scored two more tries, one of them again coming straight from Tenby's kick-off.

The home team did have a consolation try, with Rob again going over in the corner.
