The Tenby Swifts Under 13s travelled to Milford Haven for a return encounter.

Milford hoping to avenge their recent defeat at Heywood Lane appeared to have strengthened their squad.

From the outset the Tenby pack took the game to their heavier Milford counterparts with No.8 Jack Baker running into the heart of the Milford pack. This boy relishes contact and shared his strength and speed, as did the ever-improving prop Sam Ferguson, who had his best game to date for the club.

The first score came following some fine interplay between the Tenby backs resulting in Ollie Goldwait storming across the line for his first try of the season.

The next try was to come from the electrifying Chris 'Billy Whiz' Heesom. Opposing teams have got to learn that if you give this boy half a yard then he will make them suffer.

Jamie Williams was not long before he added his name to the scoresheet.

Jamie caused havoc with the Milford Haven defence everytime he had the ball in his hands with his strong determined running and a hand off that would have Mike Tyson running for cover.

Daniel McDermott showed his speed and strength in open play and appeared unstoppable, he added his name to the scoresheet just before half-time.

The change around saw the welcome return of Toby Smith, playing his first game of the season in his new position of outside-half. He was to be top scorer in the game, with two tries demonstrating he has lost none of his skill and strength.

The versatile Keifer Thomson making a return at scrum half was at his pugnacious best, he constantly harried his opposite number and was successful with two out of his three attempted conversions.

Mathew Davies was also to add his name to the ever increasing tally with his trademark running and glorious sidesteps.

Declan Sharma (hooker) improves with every game. His throwing in at the lineout was immaculate.

Flankers Joseph Morris and Yannick Parker covered every inch of the field and gave no quarter, despite Joseph feeling the full weight of the Milford pack during a ruck.

New boy Andrew Evans made a sterling contribution in the boiler house.

James Canton starting the game at outside half shared his versatility when switched to the wing in the second half.

Rhys Winter played a brave game in the first half, before he was taken off with injury. His replacement Callum made some probing runs and was unlucky not to appear on the scoresheet.

Tenby next week visit Whitland in what is likely to be an exciting encounter.
