Last weekend, Nant-y-Cwm Steiner School was visited by a group of Year 9 students from Lund Steiner School in South Sweden, who had come to Pembrokeshire to study geology. To celebrate the visit, Nant-y-Cwm pupils performed a number of traditional Maypole dances. The visiting students gamely joined in the dancing and, not surprisingly, created a few knotted ribbons, much to the amusement of their teachers. Maypole dancing certainly looks a lot easier than it actually is!  The Swedish children then sang beautiful Swedish folk songs which were greatly appreciated by everyone. Nant-y-Cwm School is open to the public for their summer fayre on July 5. For information, please ring 01437 563640.
