The Turkey Knockout organised by the Cleddau Insurance sponsored Kilgetty and District Darts League was once again a resounding success, and thanks go to all who participated.

It was grand to see representatives from every team in the league, with 12 teams of three entered for the competition.

Things did not go quite as expected, however, with the fancied teams being knocked out early on.

Eventual winners were Dave Simms, Jamie Shields and Chris Phillips; runners-up - Martin Brace, Wayne Williams, Barbara Day.

Each of the above received a turkey for their efforts.

Incidentally, there may not have been many 180s during the first half of the season, but that was rectified on Friday, with no less than five maximums being scored.

Leading the way was Chris Phillips with two, with Jon Brace, Steve Scanlon and Dave Simms chalking up one apiece.

Everyone is now looking forward to the second half of the season, commencing on January 10.

Thanks go to Kelly from KSSC for donating a bottle of whisky, all the players who made a great night of it, and the committee for arranging everything so smoothly.
