Next Thursday, November 14, at Fishguard Bay Hotel, local businesses will have the chance to gain support and advice on how to strengthen their business.

Through inviting a number of organisations and bodies who advise and help businesses to develop bilingualism, the aim of the evening organised by Menter Iaith Sir Benfro is to promote the support available to local businesses. Advice will be available regarding grants and funding, developing the use of Welsh in business, training and recruitment, and how to produce and finance bilingual signage, brochures and leaflets.

Tecwyn Ifan, the development officer for the Welsh Language initiative in Pembrokeshire, said: "We as an initiative recognise the importance of developing bilingual businesses in Pembrokeshire as a natural part of our work. We hope the evening will contribute to the development of local economy."

During the evening, which is open to any business in Pembrokeshire, people will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from Planed, Menter a Busnes, the National Assembly, ELWa, Pembrokeshire County Council, the Welsh Language Board, and to learn more about using Welsh for competitive advantage.

If you are interested in attending the evening or learning more about bilingualism in business, please contact Tecwyn on (01239) 831129 or Nerys on (01348) 873700.
