A while ago, a gentleman contacted Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal telling them he had a ‘special’ birthday coming up and that he had signed up to take part in the South Wales Bike Ride in Swansea on July 17. Although the event aims to raise funds for British Heart Foundation, Edward ‘Ted’ Tuson, from Haverfordwest, wanted to fundraise for Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal as well.

When Elly met Ted, he mentioned that May 31 was his 80th birthday and that the 28-mile bike ride was going to be done on his special ‘trike.’ Needless to say, Elly asked if she could have a go! The photograph shows Elly having a great time on Ted’s amazing trike that he will use to cover the 28-mile ride.
