Carmarthenshire residents can access energy advice and financial support to help manage bills and improve home efficiency this winter.

Supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund Sustainable Communities Programme, Carmarthenshire Citizens Advice is offering free, confidential support through its dedicated Energy Advisors. The service is available to anyone experiencing, or at risk of, fuel poverty, living in cold homes or vulnerable to ill health.

Residents can access tailored advice on managing energy use, applying for grants, reviewing energy bills and improving home efficiency. The service also provides budgeting and income maximisation support, along with practical energy-saving measures where appropriate.

Energy advice is available by appointment at the following Carmarthenshire Hwb locations:

  • Carmarthen Hwb: Mondays, 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Ammanford Hwb: Tuesdays, 9:00am – 4:0pm
  • Llanelli Hwb: Wednesdays, 9:00am – 4:00pm

To book an appointment or for energy advice online/over the phone visit the Carmarthenshire Citizens Advice website or call 01267 234488.

Referrals to the Citizens Advice Bureau can also be made directly through any of the Hwb centres.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Homes, Cllr Linda Evans, said:“We know that many households across Carmarthenshire continue to feel the pressure of rising energy costs, particularly as the colder months approach.

This service ensures that residents can access practical advice and support to help them stay warm, manage their bills and identify any financial help available.”

Energy efficiency advice is available in person, over the phone, or via a digital drop-in service. To make an appointment, call 01267 231742 or email [email protected]. For more information, visit the Citizens Advice website at https://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/council-services/hwb/
