THE first Pembrokeshire Lottery quarterly Superdraw was held on Wednesday September 10, awarding £8,000. The lucky player whose number came up was Mr. Malcolm Harts from Jeffreyston, with lottery number 4046. Mr. Harts is a longstanding supporter of the Pembrokeshire Lottery and plays via a salary deduction scheme run by his employer, Pembrokeshire County Council. When asked why he plays, Mr. Harts said he liked the fact that the money raised stayed in Pembrokeshire and helped to create jobs. As usual, the draw was aired on 102.5 Radio Pembrokeshire and presenter Gareth Morris telephoned Mr. Harts live on air to break the happy news. The cheque was presented at the Pembrokeshire Lottery office in Milford Haven the following day. When asked if he'd decided what to do with his winnings, Mr. Harts said he had a young grandchild, so treating the family would be top of his list. The usual £2,000 weekly draws continue until the Christmas Superdraw on Wednesday, December 10 , which will award a £10,000 prize.
