Artist Tim Jenkins's fascination with flying boats is reflected in his many studies of the most famous of them all - the Short Sunderland.

And one of his paintings - of Sunderlands sweeping high over Caldey Island, Tenby - is the major prize in a raffle held in conjunction with a month-long art exhibition at Pembroke Dock.

Tim, originally from Llanfallteg, donated the painting to the Pembroke Dock Sunderland Trust which invited the Guild of Aviation Artists to exhibit at the newly opened 'Fleets to Flying Boats' Centre in the Fleet Surgeon's House, Royal Dockyard.

The exhibition opens today (Friday) and runs until Saturday, September 22, Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive. There are 75 aviation and military paintings - the work of seven artists - on display and for sale.

Raffle tickets cost £1 with a chance to win Tim's iconic study, valued at £400, and four other prizes. All proceeds are for the Sunderland Trust's heritage initiatives.
