Tenby Golf Club Ladies' Section held the Sunday Salver this week. The weather was chilly, but sunny, and all 23 competitors enjoyed a rain-free round at last.

It was pleasing to have Ann Marsden as one of the competitors, as it was she who started the competition in 2001, her year of captaincy. She wanted to bring the Thursday ladies and the Sunday ladies together for a competition.

And there was an added success on this occasion as country members also joined in. The atmosphere in the newly decorated clubhouse afterwards was convivial and a number of the ladies had enjoyed a successful round.

Prizes were presented by the ladies' captain, Heather K. Morgan, aided by the president, Barbara Williams, and vice-captain, Mel Smith.

The bag draw was won by Pam Cole and Ann Follon.

Third in the salver, with 37 points, was Mary Lewis; second was Anita Davies with 38 points and a reduction in handicap. Ann Marsden presented Laura McQueen with the salver after a winning score of 40 points and a reduction of two shots.

Many thanks to Mel Smith for doing the cards.

Excitement is mounting among the ladies to see which team they are chosen for in the Captain v Vice-Captain match on Thursday, April 9. If any ladies haven't been down to sign-up, please phone the ladies' captain.
