On Saturday, July 7, a group of 18 ramblers met at Goodwick and enjoyed a lovely walk in brilliant sunshine around the Strumble peninsula passing Carregwastad Point, the scene of the French troop landing in 1797, before turning inland. Lunch was taken on a sheltered spot on the Coast Path. The walk then crossed Pen Caer and Garn Folch, passing through Llanwnda, admiring the recently restored mediaeval church, before descending to Goodwick via Penrhiw Fach. Tomorrow (Saturday), there will be a medium length walk in the Hook area, meeting at Little Milford car park at 10.30 am. The walk leader is Mike Phippard, tel. 01646 602056. On Sunday, July 29, there will be a medium length walk in the Eastern Preselis, meeting at the Waldo Memorial at 10.30 am. The walk leader is Derek Burr, tel. 01994 419263.
