Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club recently held their annual charity golf tournament at Tenby Golf Club and was blessed by some spectacular summer weather.

The 23 teams that entered all sported healthy tans by the end of the day and all enjoyed their game and the club's excellent facilities, the links course, rounded off with an evening meal and entertainment by comedian Colin Price.

Tournament organiser, Lion Pat Crockford thanked all those who took part, the sponsors, the teams and helpers for their continued support for this event which has over the past 10 years raised some £20,000 which has been donated to worthy charitable causes.

Winners on the day were 1. Roger Schooling, R. Mence and John Cook 76 pts; 2. John Porter, Del Stadden and R. Cook 75 (back nine); 3. Simon Rossiter, Jason Rossiter and Jonathan Rossiter 75; nearest the pin - Richard Gwyther (1.8m); longest drive - John Morris (Big John).

Lion president John Griffiths, addressing the audience, thanked everyone for their participation, the caterers for the meals and Tenby Golf Club and their staff for their continued support for this event and hoped it would continue in the future.
