Dwr Cymru Welsh Water countryside rangers at Llys-y-Fran have organised a bumper programme of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy during this six-week summer holiday.

The summer fun days will occur every Wednesday during the holiday, with the first set to take place on July 22.

On these days, visitors will have the chance to take canoe trips, or rowing boat trips on the reservoir, take mountain bike rides around the perimeter of the country park or get involved in an organised team building activity.

For those looking for something a bit more relaxing, we have included a pond-dipping activity so that those with an interest in environmental habitats are able to see the impact that even a small pond can make.

All of the activities are available for the small fee of £2 per adult and £1 per child, and all proceeds will be donated to Water Aid, Newgale YMCA and the Prince's Trust Cymru, who will be delivering additional activities at Llys-y-Fran on all fun days.

Llys-y-Fran site controller John Sampson, said: "We hope the day will provide youngsters with a taste of the types of activities that can be enjoyed here throughout the summer."

John added: "The fun day is open to everyone and any equipment used will be provided by Welsh Water. We ask that all children taking part are accompanied by a parent or guardian."

Those wishing to join the event should meet on the patio of the Visitor Centre at 10 am. For further information, call the visitor centre on 01437 532694.
