A summer charity ball at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel takes place tonight (Friday) to raise funds for a children's play park to be built outside Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

Organiser of the ball and fundraiser for the play park, local councillor Peter Kraus said he hopes that the new facility can be up and running by the end of September.

"The summer charity ball I have arranged is so that people can have a fantastic night and at the same time raise a lot of money towards the £60,000 required for the children's play park," he said.

"This will be a truly brilliant evening and it's very important that we get all the public support we can," he added.

There are still tickets available for the ball, which includes a three-course meal followed by the sounds of the fantastic Horizontal Favours.

Also during the evening, there will be an auction and raffle, with some brilliant prizes.

Mr. Magic Man himself David Hitchcott will also make an appearance during the evening to keep guests on their toes!
