TENBY Round Tabler and local driving instructor Suen Andrews is off on his travels again later this year when he takes part in another charity challenge... and it is one that is sure to leave him with sore feet again!

Forty-one-year-old Suen will be swapping the sandy beaches of Tenby for the rather hotter sand of the Sahara in September as he undertakes his latest charity trek, tackling the world's largest hot desert.

"What fun is there in running when you can walk instead!" said Suen, who is raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Last April, Suen, who is also duty manager at Tenby's Heywood Mount Hotel, completed a walk of the Great Wall of China, as part of a party of 53 fund-raisers in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.

Cancer Research UK is a charity close to Suen's heart, as over the last three years he has lost his mother and grandparents to the illness.

"I used to think cancer happens to other people until it touched my family, then gutted it like a fish in a very short time, so anything I can do to help fight it I will," he explained.

"I am funding this trek myself, so all money I can raise will go directly to the Cancer Research UK people.

"I do not have an exact amount that I want to raise, but I would like to help in any way I can," he added.
