The Inner Wheel Club of Tenby is delighted to announce that The Samaritans Purse shoe box campaign has been a great success once again!

The boxes were collected from Tenby on November 29, and left the following day from Swansea to their next destination in Romania to delight 424 children.

“Our thanks go to so many children, parents, grandparents and local folk for filling these boxes once again, it is a joy to see the boxes all together ready to go, in these difficult times this year’s response is quite incredible,” said Meryl Sharp of the Inner Wheel Club of Tenby.

Many thanks also go to Carwen and John Harry for storing the boxes prior to their departure.

“The success of this campaign is always due to the people who place gifts in a shoebox for children who otherwise wouldn’t have a gift to open at Christmas, and a huge thanks again to all,” added Meryl.
