Narberth AFC's annual dinner took place last Saturday, May 8, at the Sporting Chance, Red Roses.

Apologies were received from president R. Fanus and Josie, Wendy Williams, Gwyneth Johns, Ralph and Margaret Phillips.

Colin Williams acted as toastmaster. Proceedings started with Andrew Graham saying grace.

This was followed by a wonderful meal enjoyed by all. Colin gave a short resume of the season, thanking all the coaches senior and junior.

Highlight of the evening was a great turnout by the U16 team, who had reached the semi-finals of their cup competition - well done.

The senior team reached the quarter-finals of both the West Wales and Senior Cup competition.

The second team reached the semi-finals.

Colin thanked the chairman Stephen Jones, vice-chair Andrew Graham and committee for all their work during the season, also all the club sponsors.

Andrew Graham, Nigel Thomas (Tommy), first team coach, Mark O'Sullivan, second team coach, all addressed the gathering giving glowing reports of the season and said they were hoping for more success next season.

Ashley Williams gave a good report on the U16s and thanked Geraint Nicholas for all his help during the season.

The club is very grateful for the continued support of the trophy sponsors.

Tommy, Scott and Steven were thanked for organising the dinner.

Under 16s: most improved -Andrew Thomas (presented by Mark O'Sullivan); top goal scorer - Callum O'Connell, (presented by Jordan Williams); players' player -Callum O'Connell (presented by Nigel Thomas); player of year - Vincent Morse (presented by Stephen Jones, chairman).

A presentation was then made by the U16 players to coach Ashley Williams.

The proceedings of awards were brought to a close by the club chairman, Mr. Stephen Jones.

He thanked the Sporting Chance for a wonderful meal and for a good gathering, the U16s, both senior teams and all the junior teams, the committee for all their hardwork, especially Ralph for all his work on the field.

He thanked Colin, who is the chairman of Pembs. League, for his support over the season. He wished the club even more success in the new season and that the club is assured of it with the U16s support.

The club wish Liam Phillips a speedy recovery to full good health.
