A most interesting quiz evening, organised by the Carew and Cresswell Quay committee of the Cancer Research Campaign, was held in the Cresselly Cricket Club on Tuesday, April 20.
Quizmaster was Mr. Roland Edwards who had arranged a super quiz programme for the large number of eager participants.
Sincere thanks are given to the members of Cresselly Cricket Club for the use of the premises and also for donating a gift which was auctioned for £30.
Thanks also to the quiz prize winners who returned their prize money to Cancer Research.
Including a raffle, the amount made on the evening was £450. Thanks to everyone for their support.
Raffle prizes winners were: Flower planter - Janet, Cresselly Arms; coffee maker - Susan Wood; set flower pots - Barbara Phillips; chocolates - Trevor Griffiths; watch - David Richards; Lavender pack - Janet Mathias; Cointreau - Marion Merriman; goose egg - Margaret Morgan.
