Members of West Wales Wadoryu Karate Association (Pembroke Dock and Penally) recently held a very successful karate training course and competition at Tenby Leisure Centre under the instruction of Sensei Graham Thomas, Martin Morgan and Paul Rogers. Students were given a two-hour pre-competition course, prior to their competition where they went through all aspects of competition karate. Competition results: Kumite (fighting): 1. George Bellmaine, Euan Owens, Nathan Bowers, Jamie Goff, Jason Brazier; 2. Holly Maynard, Ellie Wilson, Karla Hill, Rhys Owens, Keith Roberts; 3. Jay Stewart, Ryan Edwards, Huw Owens, Byron Jenkins, Stephen Walters. Kata (forms/patterns): 1. Ben Thomas, Ryan Edwards, Rhys Owens, Emma Macdonald, Kylie Brazier; 2. Euan Owens, James Appleyard, Huw Owens, Jamie Goff, Rebecca Hills; 3. Harry Owen, Georgia Watchorn, Rhys Parsell, Keith Roberts, Simon Morgan.
