A major Jobsfair was held last Wednesday at the Bridge Innovation Centre (BIC) in Pembroke Dock.
The jobsfair and employment support event was visited by many potential members of the workforce - some of whom already have job interviews lined up for next week as a result.
They met a wide variety of employers, from sectors as varied as construction, leisure and social care, to find out about vacancies, apprenticeships and training opportunities.
The jobsfair was organised by the Pembrokeshire Employer Support Group, led by Pembrokeshire County Council, and Workways.
It was opened by Clr. Keith Lewis, cabinet member for communities and the voluntary sector, who said the feedback from jobseekers and employers was very good.
"With unemployment figures falling and the economy growing, it's important that we work together to ensure that the people and businesses of Pembrokeshire are given the best opportunities to succeed and continue to grow," he added.
The event also celebrated the success of the Workways project.
More than 600 people in Pembrokeshire have got a job thanks to Workways since it started in the county in March 2010.
The programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund as part of the Convergence programmes. This funding is due to end in December.
"We hope that new funding will be agreed in order for this successful project to continue in 2015," said Clr. Lewis.
