The Boathouse in Saundersfoot, was the venue for a very successful coffee morning on November 8 in aid of the Pembrokeshire Fundraising Branch of Guide Dogs Cymru.

On a beautiful sunny morning, The Boathouse was soon full to capacity and Shelagh, Sian, Rose and Keith were run off their feet serving coffee and tea.

Alan and Anne were busy with the door and stall, and Madelene, Joan and Eva took £195 on the raffle.

The excellent sum of £634 was raised towards the training of more guide dogs like Oyster, who was accompanying Branch secretary, Eva Rich.

Another guide dog supporting the event was Jackson from Milford Haven.

Sincere thanks is extended firstly to The Boathouse, and secondly to everyone who so kindly provided the many raffle prizes, including: The Boar’s Head, Templeton; the Parsonage, St. Florence; Vincent Davies; Heywood Butchers, Saundersfoot; and Frosts Saundersfoot; together with gifts from many individuals.

Needless to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the coffee morning and helping to raise such an excellent sum.

The branch would also like to take this opportunity of wishing its many supporters a very happy Christmas and a happy and healthy 2018.
