Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club was the venue last Thursday for a very successful coffee morning in aid of the local fund-raising branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. The event was well attended, raising £410, and sincere thanks is extended to everyone who gave their support.
Special thanks to Robert for his help with the washing-up and to Madelene and Joan for their assistance with the raffle. Thanks also go to Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club for providing the premises free of charge, to Powells Holidays for the advertising space and to the kind friends who donated some of the raffle prizes.
Three guide dogs were present, Wilma with her owner John Lloyd from Milford Haven, Angie, Eva Rich's guide dog, and Greta, on holiday in the area with her owner from Sheffield.
The raffle winners were Wendy Lloyd, June Cole, Jean Frobel, Allen Brace, Christine Rees, Don Poole, Marlene Davies, Mrs. Brookes and Gwyneth Jenkins.
Please remember to save your used postage stamps and any redundant mobile phones, all of which help raise much-needed funds.
The branch is always looking for additional helpers, so if anyone has some time to spare and would like to support a worthwhile charity, please contact branch secretary, Eva Rich, on 01834 812868.
