Colby Woodland Garden's Christmas Fair held on Sunday, November 26, rounded off a hugely successful season for the National Trust Garden near Amroth. After the wet and stormy weather of the previous week, visitors flocked to the garden and were able to make the most of the dry sunny day to make a start on their Christmas shopping and take a stroll through the woods. The 1st Penally Brownies did a roaring trade with craft activities for children, helping to boost their pack funds. Stallholders and the National Trust shop also reported good business. Head gardener, Steve Whitehead, said: "A lot of effort went into making our first Christmas Fair such a fantastic success and we'd like to thank everyone who supported us on the day, including Tenby harbourmaster's office, as well as the National Trust staff and volunteers who helped to make it all happen. "Although we're now closed until Saturday, March 24,we have an exciting programme of events planned for the 2007 season including two open- air theatre performances, guided walks and lunches, art days and our usual family fun days.
