Pembrokeshire County Council member, Clr. Michael Williams, of Tenby, tabled a notice of motion calling for consideration to be given to action being taken to restrict the activities of street traders in the town. The matter came before yesterday's (Thursday's) full meeting of the council when members agreed to refer it to the authority's cabinet.
Public petition launched
Business people in Tenby who are campaigning against illegal street trading in the town have launched another petition. After the success of a petition signed by traders, campaigners have now set-up one for members of the public to sign which also calls for Pembrokeshire County Council to take action on what they see and an 'ongoing and annually increasing' problem. The petition can be signed at Arch House, the Corner Counter and Fecci's Ice Cream Parlour in St. George Street, and Fecci's Fish and Chip Shop, Lower Frog Street.
