Councillors in Tenby are to meet with Pembrokeshire County Council’s legal department next week to discuss their options in trying to get a bye-law introduced to ban ‘service providers’ and ‘street traders’ from the town.
Members of Tenby Town Council have been investigating their options with regard to a bye-law banning street traders from parts of the resort, and are hoping that the matter can be taken to the Welsh Assembly Government, with the possibility of introducing it as an ‘All Wales Act’.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk, Andrew Davies, reminded members that a meeting had been arranged for Tuesday morning with PCC’s legal representatives and also the authority’s street care manager, Marc Owen, to discuss how to take the matter forward.
