Despite the unfavourable weather, a very successful Strawberry Tea was recently held at Sunnybank Residential Home, Narberth.
Mr. David Jones, of Princes Gate Water, accompanied by his wife Jackie and son Harvey, opened the proceedings and resident, Mr. Sam Hart presented them with buttonholes.
There were various stalls and a large raffle and then residents and visitors enjoyed fresh strawberries and cream for tea.
Money raised at this event, together with a generous donation to the home from the Barney Fund, has been used in the last two weeks to enable the staff to take residents to Folly Farm in the home's own bus.
The staff and residents would like to thank all those who contributed in any way to making the tea a success and in particular families and friends of the residents and the business people of Narberth, who, as always, generously donated raffle prizes and items for the various stalls.
Fund-raising is ongoing at Sunnybank, enabling the residents to benefit from regular outings in the home's bus. The home will be having a stall in the High Street on the morning of Narberth Carnival and look forward to the support of the Narberth people.
