Pupils at St. Florence School were treated to a story with a difference on Monday, when Nigerian storyteller Atinuke paid the school a visit. Atinuke, who is sponsored by 'Acedemi', reads to the children a series of traditional African stories, using themes associated with the process of growing up. "I usually have a different theme for each day, and hopefully the children can learn from the stories about how to deal with different situations," explained Atinuke, who also uses art and drama to make the learning process an all-round fun one.

Class one pupils at St. Florence School prepare to take part in some painting, with teacher Miss Amanda Bateman and storyteller Atinuke.
