At Clerkenhill Adventure Farm last Thursday, a charity Frizbee competition was held, with 14 teams of three people from all over the county.

The standard is getting higher and higher. Even though freak storms were forecast, no rain hampered play. However, the winds were very testing.

Best individual scores were: 1. Damien (Team Gecko) 54; 2. Simon Beynon (Undesirables) 55; 3. Simon (The A Team) 62.

Best ladies score: Suz (The Hurricanes) 71.

Best junior score, throwing from the junior tees: Robert and Poppy (The Misfits) 70.

The winning trio were Damien, Joe and Max, of Team Gecko, with a score of 177, and runners-up were Simon, Jeff and Richard John, of the Undesirables, with a score of 195.

In third place were Tom, Suz and Neil (The Hurricanes) with 199, and in joint fourth, Thomas, Simon and Marchin (The Huntsmen) with Mike, Robert, and Poppy (The Misfits), with a score of 212.

The Team Gecko decided to give the £80 raised to the Cilcoed Christian Centre.
